Hoses, tubes, cords, pens and pencils worn, glass bottles and plastic sheets or cardboard boxes are some of the waste materials used in the workshop of "musical instruments from recycled materials" organized by the Department of Environment of the City Caravaca in the Informajoven Crafts room.
A total of 15 children, aged between 8 and 18, have participated in this workshop in order to enhance their imagination and learn how to reuse the materials making them custom instruments.
Thus, the cardboard boxes and rubber bands have become harps, trumpets hoses and tubes in maracas.
In addition, children have been curtains sheets, pvc bongos, rain sticks, vidriófonos, drumsticks and tubular wind instruments.
The Councillor for Environment, Antonia M ª Álvarez, expressed his satisfaction with the results of the initiative and noted that will be performed again due to its success.
In closing the workshop, children accompanied by their instructor, have made an impromptu demonstration manufactured instruments.
