The Board of Governors, meeting in extraordinary session in the morning, has dismissed appeals by two companies to compete for the award of Multifunctional Cultural Center.
According to the procedures provided, next Friday there will be the final award of contract to Ferrovial Agroman, to be the company that has best met all the needs reflected in the specifications of the competition.
The competition have attended a total of 24 companies, among which are the country's largest builders.
The various deals have been studied by a commission composed of technical experts, two local architects, an engineer, technical, cultural, artistic advisor and other economic and legal.
The works of Multifunctional Cultural Center, funded by the Autonomous Community and the City of Caravaca, will have a budget of 12 million euros.
The building will be located on a plot of municipal property Mayrena Street entrance, will be distributed in different areas among which an auditorium with capacity for 1,000 people, library and municipal archives, among other places.
The presentation of the project to the media is scheduled for next Friday morning at 11.30 am in the press room of the Consistory.
