The Department of Education of the City of Caravaca has funded a program to prevent violence against women in adolescents conducted in the three schools providing secondary education in the municipality.
The workshops and talks, which have begun today in the IES San Juan de la Cruz, will be taught by Avida Association, formed by professionals of Staff Services for Women Victims of Domestic Violence in Caravaca (CAVI).
The Councillor for Education, Juan Pedro Sanchez, who was present at the opening of the program with the director of San Juan, Isidro de la Ossa, and the social worker, Maria Rosa Andreu, has indicated that this is the fourth year that takes out this program among students in 3 º ESO and objective is to prevent behaviors associated with gender violence and to encourage attitudes of rejection towards them from an early age.
The alternate CAVI professional content and skills to young people aware of the importance of condemning and denouncing physical and / or psychological.
Students also participate in a discussion forum on topics related to gender violence, such as machismo, patriarchal power structures and cultural myths
