The Department of Works and Services of the City of Caravaca has completed the renovation project for public lighting in the district of Extremadura, which has involved the replacement of old lamps and luminaires suitable for energy saving.
The installation of lighting represents an investment of 82,700 euros, amount financed through the Local Investment Fund.
The renewal of street lighting has been carried out in the area known as the urban expansion, affecting the streets Severo Ochoa, Juan Ramón Jiménez, Orellana, Almagro, Pizarro, Vicente Aleixandre, Cruise, Platero, Extremadura, Avenida Juan Carlos I.
In total, 115 new fixtures placed greater energy efficiency in provision mural on walls.
"With the new streetlights are going to get better performance lighting, electrical and savings, while improving road safety for pedestrians and avoid, as far as possible, acts of vandalism," said the Head of the Works and Services , Juan Pedro Sánchez.
Last October, renewed street lighting in the Garden of the Friars and Orchard Road.
