A total of 62 young people have accepted the challenge proposed by the Youth Council of the City of Caravaca de abandon or not start in snuff consumption in exchange for participating in a trip abroad.
This initiative is part of the smoking prevention program "Healthy Travel" which starts in the city for the fourth consecutive year.
The program started this week with lectures and prevention targeting both the participants and their parents or guardians by the councilman of Youth, Antonia M ª Álvarez, and doctor, Juan Antonio Martínez Lozano.
During these sessions, reviewed the basics of this program, which combines education and entertainment as a way to prevent the use of snuff among adolescents.
During the eight months of the program "Healthy Travel" participants also are committed to undergo the necessary medical examinations and tests (test coximetría and cotinine) and to attend scheduled talks and therapies.
Those young people who meet the challenge of not smoking or not start in consumption will be awarded by the Department of Youth With a trip abroad.
