Statements by the Secretary General of the Socialist Group, Juan Romero, the Municipal Secretary for Policy, Fernando Romero and Speaker of the Municipal Group, Alfonso Sanchez.
First Juan Romero expressed full support for the Municipal Group and its spokesperson, confirming the request for the resignation of Town Planning Councillor, Amador López, expressed by the Speaker in the past Extraordinary Plenary, not only by the fiasco of the football field, too for its gross mismanagement of the planning of the town, citing other cases that are also stagnant, such as housing for young people on the grounds of the RENFE, underground car parks, etc.
For his part Fernando Romero referred to the verbal trickery of Mr. Lopez, for the insults directed to the Speaker during the plenary, to be absent from arguments as well as other considerations relating to the lack of solutions of the governing PP in that case.
Alfonso Sanchez noted that the Municipal Group has filed an administrative appeal to suspend the agreement of the Municipal Government Board on 9 November, to consider demanding technically and legally impossible now for the first time in Caravaca joint venture, as well Governing Board agreed, strict compliance with contract for the new football field, after rejecting the request of the resolution of the joint venture.
Likewise, the Municipal Group has requested that the resolution of this Appeal is carried plenary, which summarize some issues which we consider a whole heap of nonsense:
- Most of the time to execute the works are amply extinct to this day, specifically for the new football field should be completed in January 2008, but in any case the City Council has agreed the extension of deadlines in what remains pending execution.
- The lack of availability by the City of some of the land required as provided in the specification continues to be an impediment to this day.
