The Bethlehem municipal de Caravaca de la Cruz has been honored for the second consecutive year the first prize of the contest organized by the Association of Bethlehem in the Region of Murcia.
The Bethlehem, located in the old Society of Jesus, is composed of 200 figures and constructions made by artisans and Isabel Murcia Griñán Jesus Tornero.
The jury of the Association of Bethlehem has considered the Bethlehem of Caravaca de la Cruz, next to those installed in Los Alcazares, Fortuna, Fuente Alamo and Bacons Bridge is the one that has best represented the principal scenes of the Nativity, attention to detail , lighting and distribution of the different elements.
The Councillor for Tourism, Gonzalo López-Auguy, thanked the Association of Bethlehem this recognition, which recognizes the efforts made since the City Council to provide the city of one of the most important monumental nativity scene in the region of Murcia.
The Bethlehem, along with the exhibition of Griñán Jesus, will be open until tomorrow, January 5, from 11.00 to 13.30 and from 18.00 to 21.00.
The awards ceremony will take place today, January 4, at 20.00 hours in the classroom of the Caja de Ahorros de Murcia Mediterranean.
