The city of Caravaca de la Cruz has been designated to host the Championship of Spain by Autonomous Duathlon to be held on 14 March.
The organization shall be borne by the Department of Sports City of Caravaca de la Cruz Triathlon in the Region of Murcia, with the collaboration of Caravaca Triathlon Club.
For the first time in history, the city of Caravaca de la Cruz will host a top national duathlon.
Spanish Triathlon Federation and Triathlon Murcia been chosen as host city of Caravaca Spain Championship Duathlon for autonomy in 2010, taking the Holy Year 2010.
The event, to comply fully consolidated its tenth year, will consist of two separate competitions, one male and one female test, which will be played throughout the morning of Sunday 14 March.
The test will run through the most emblematic of Caravaca.
Each autonomous region shall be represented by a maximum of 8 participants in the men and another 8 in the female category.
In the last edition, held in the city of Vitoria, Andalusia took victory ahead of Madrid and Catalonia.
Caravaca de la Cruz will become the epicenter of Spanish duathlon, attracting many visiting athletes and spectators.
In this way the Sports Council aims to promote, through sport, the Holy Year 2010, as has happened with the Futsal National Championship or the Tour of Spain.
