The City of Caravaca de la Cruz held tomorrow, Friday, at 20.00 in the former Jesuit International Day of Women's Rights and International Peace with a tribute to women entrepreneurs and the presentation of the book "Women in Caravaca history. "
"During the ceremony will reveal the name of the woman to be awarded this year by the Department of Women for her professional career and work and present a publication that refers to a number of prominent women in local history," said the mayor of Women Family and Social Development, Carmen Ruiz Mulero.
The book "Women in the history of Caravaca" includes a total of 32 names and photographs of caravaqueñas women who have excelled in different social environments.
For the realization of this publication, the Department of Women has enjoyed the cooperation of municipal archivist, Francisco Fernandez, and official historian of the city, José Antonio Melgares.
The images that illustrate the book will be displayed in the sacristy of the old Society of Jesus until the 14th March.
Moreover, within the program of activities for Women's Day, Gene Green, a group formed by 24 women artists from 13 nations, will present the Sunday, March 7, at 19.30 in hall Juan Antonio Corbalan the show "Rhapsody."
On 12 March will take place the II Sport of Equality with the participation of users of the Home for the Elderly, Caravaca Sports Centre and the Municipal Sports.
Finally, to end the program of events for Women Day, March 13 regional assembly will take place and pilgrimage of the Regional Association of Widows.
