Caravaca de la Cruz met yesterday to more than three thousand people who participated in the Jubilee Pilgrimage Families, convened by the Bishop of the Diocese of Cartagena, Bishop José Manuel Lorca Planes, on the Journey of Life.

The event began with a Rosary for Life, which started from the Plaza Elliptical, chaired by the image of the Virgen del Rosario de Caravaca.
Accompanied by the ringing of bells, went in procession to the Basilica - Santuario de la Vera Cruz, on the esplanade celebrated Holy Mass presided by Bishop Lorca Planes.
The bishop in his homily encouraged couples to grow in daily fidelity, noting that "the strength of marriage and the family communion is love."
Lorca said the family plans a "community of life", a "community of love", which all find their fulfillment in the Kingdom of God.
To make this possible, the Pastor of Cartagena said: "This requires a climate of benevolent communication between the spouse and his wife", which will contribute to the formation of children.
Also outlined four tasks for the family that part of love: the formation of a community service to life, participation in the development of society and participation in the life and mission of the Church.

After the celebration, the faithful had access to the interior of the basilica, which gave them to kiss the relic of the Holy Cross.
