The City of Caravaca de la Cruz will run a total of 13 projects valued at over 2.8 million euros, with the State Fund for Employment and Local Sustainability.
The planned measures will be conducted throughout the year 2010 and to justify its completion in the first quarter of 2011.
The projects to be financed with the above plan are: improvements in sports facilities (140,064 euros), construct a storm drain in Garden Street (56,219 euros), reform of the social hall Barranda (90,726 euros), reform school children of San Francisco (187,681 euros), construction of a sports and cultural center in Archivel (698,435 euros), renewal of water infrastructure (124,832 euros), utilization of thermal energy in Caravaca Sports Center (119,034 euros), construct a residence for people with learning disabilities (523,203 euros), construct a reading and computer center in La Almudema (45,545 euros), construction of a sewerage system in road Murcia (118,000 euros), works to improve education centers primary (212,689 euros) and sports facilities suitable for people with severe disability (11,819 euros).
In addition, 510,000 euros envisaged for current expenditure.
Residence for mentally handicapped
Residence for mentally handicapped permit the extension of its services Apcom targeting children with intellectual disabilities who have special educational needs and require ongoing support in their educational process and the group of people with intellectual disability in older adults with problems within the family.
The new units will be located on municipally owned land next to the Nova Residence, Knights Sanjuanistas street.
Caravaca City Council has identified as a priority the construction of this building will allow the extension of the Residence Nova, thus meeting the needs of people in the Northwest Region in need of residential places for a better quality of life.
In this sense, we must remember that the council is currently building the second phase of the Day Centre and Residence of Dependents of Caravaca de la Cruz in the hamlet of El Copo with a total budget of over two million euros.
Archivel sports pavilion
The sports pavilion has been designed Archivel a municipally owned parcel located next to the municipal pool facilities.
It has designed a covered structure, made of concrete, which will have changing rooms and a runway suitable for intensive sports activity.
Improvement and reform of social living Barranda
The renovation and reform of the social hall Barranda consist of the renovation of toilets, replacement of plumbing and drainage network, development of a space for dressing rooms and the extension of the stage, among other actions.
