The Government of Spain invests in Caravaca 7,383,211 euros through State Funds, 2009 and 2010
The Government delegate, Rafael González Tovar, and the mayor of the Cross of Caravaca, Domingo Aranda, inaugurated this morning the work on improving the facilities of the Sports Complex of El Salvador.
The works, which have been financed entirely by the Government of Spain through the Local Investment Fund, 2009, have had an amount of EUR 530,329 and created 15 jobs.
The works have involved the construction of a new changing rooms for sports facilities and improved access, with access ramps for the disabled and staggered by the south of the complex.
The delegate recalled that Caravaca de la Cruz has received from the Government of Spain 4,546,475 euros for 26 projects of the Local Investment Fund of 2009 that are generating 258 jobs, of which 210 are newly created and 48 people belonging in the successful tenderers.
These works were selected by the City of Caravaca and subsequently approved by the Government Delegation, first, and the Ministry of Land Policy, later.
González Tovar has also reported that the new State Fund for Employment and Local Sustainability to be invested in 2010, will involve a further economic boost for the city of 2,836,737 euros.
"Overall, has clarified the Government Delegate, Caravaca de la Cruz received from the Government of Spain 7.4 million euros in two years: the largest investment in Caravaca by any government in such a short time and which clearly will municipalist President Zapatero. "
Caravaca de la Cruz has submitted to the State Fund of 2010, a total of 13 projects, 12 construction and an investment in social spending programs that provide for the creation of 63 new jobs and benefit more than 2,000 people.
Current status of state funds in 2009 and 2010 in the Region of Murcia
The delegate of the Government has used the visit to inform the Government of Spain has already paid in the region the full amount of 482 works from the State Fund of 2009, representing 72 percent of the total projects submitted, 673.
Tovar Gonzalez recalled that the Fund has created 13,200 direct jobs across the region.
"The Fund, 2009-the delegate explained is meeting the objectives of boosting the economy, job creation and improvement of local infrastructure, particularly in the construction sector, being the hardest hit by the crisis."
As for the new State Fund, 2010, González Tovar indicated that involves an injection of an additional € 154.1 million to municipalities in the region.
"In just two years, municipalities in the Region of Murcia will receive from the Government of Spain over 400 million euros to boost the economy, create jobs and improve our towns and cities in a time of economic difficulty in which government public should be an example of effective management, "said González Tovar.
The municipalities of the Region have already been approved by the Government of Spain for the start of construction of all the 729 projects submitted to this new State Fund.
