The Civil Guard template Caravaca has increased by 154 per cent in the last six years
The government delegate in Murcia, Rafael González Tovar, and Zona V colonel of the Guardia Civil, Benjamin Martin Mora, inaugurated this morning the Civil Guard barracks in Caravaca de la Cruz after the refurbishment and improvement carried out in the Ministry of Interior has invested 874,055 euros.
The delegate explained that the headquarters has undertaken a remodeling that affects the Weapons Inspection Office, the Main Post offices, the offices of the Judicial Police, the Office of Seprona and dungeons.
It has also been undertaken to replace the entrance doors to the barracks, the rehabilitation of the facades and interior courtyard and the construction of a new indoor parking area.
On the other hand, works have also allowed the rehabilitation of 11 houses of the civil guards.
All these actions have involved an investment of the Ministry of Interior of 816,055 euros.
A former investment together with an additional 58,000 euros for the E Plan 2009 for the replacement of wood windows with aluminum on the stairs of the apartment blocks, the conversion of a garage in the official record, raising the perimeter wall, the conversion of two dwellings in locker rooms, a terrace waterproofing and placement of a door separating the patio of government agencies.

The Government delegate explained that in 2007 the Ministry of Interior approved the conversion of the Civil Guard barracks in leading positions, thus providing a higher quality service to citizens, to have three specialized areas of concern for citizens, public safety and research.
This transformation has resulted in the increase in staff to 36 civil guards who serve today.
In relation to the package stated that "the Civil Guard station in Caravaca de la Cruz has become one of the main region and has received special attention by the Ministry of Interior, as no only has launched an investment of close to 900,000 euros for comprehensive rehabilitation, but has become a top job in six years has gone from 13 agents to 36, ie 154 per cent more staff at its disposal in 2004.
